(WJW) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has it Announced a recall of canned tuna Products sold by several major retailers Walmart, Trader Joe, Croger and Costco.
According to the alert, Tri-Union Seafoods is I will recall spontaneously After learning about manufacturing defects including “easy open” pull tab lids that can damage can seals, some canned tuna products will leak over time or worse still , will be contaminated with Clostridium botulinumpotentially fatal form of food poisoning. ”
Customers have been warned not to use affected products, even if they don't look or smell.
Canned tuna products were sold under the brand names Genova®, VanCamp's®, Heb and Trader Joe and distributed to retailers in these states.

According to FDA alerts, no illnesses have been reported, but sick consumers are advised to seek immediate medical consultation.
Recalled tuna must be thrown away or returned for a complete refund.
