Capital One’s players of the match:

This year, a veteran was paired with two of golf’s up-and-coming superstars.

Thompson, who won the LPGA 11 times, has become a household name. She’s used to playing with players and turned heads when she teed it up at the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas.

“This is not a normal tournament where it’s all done individually and we can get on the mic and do some trash-talking stuff. It’s a good group of us, so it’s going to be a fun time,” Thompson said. Saidby LPGA.com.

Chan has only been a professional golfer for less than a year, but he has already stolen the hearts of many.

She became the first woman to win in her LPGA debut since Beverly Hanson accomplished the feat in 1951. It was accomplished shortly after she won her second straight NCAA individual title. Zhang also won last year’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur.

It’s clear she’s up for a fight.

McIlroy, on the other hand, doesn’t need much introduction. He has four major titles and has won 24 times on the PGA Tour. His resume speaks for itself, as he is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world right now.

He previously competed in this event alongside Tiger Woods when Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth narrowly defeated him.

This will be Homa’s first appearance at a charity event. He has won his 6 times on the PGA Tour and has become a fan favorite.

Homa’s laid-back demeanor on social media is beloved by many, but he is a forceful player with the club in his hands.

Capital One’s The Match Format:

This rendition makes some changes to the format. However, one thing that remains the same is that matches are played over 12 holes.

Men and women play together, but not as a team. Each person plays individually in skin matches.

All four players use the same tee for the four par 3 holes. The remaining eight holes will be played from different tees.

Each hole is worth a specified amount of money for charity, and the player who raises the most money through skins is declared the winner.
