The U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) said a Massachusetts man was able to take a handgun on a tour of the U.S. Capitol before he was eventually arrested by law enforcement.
Authorities said they were looking for the man on Jan. 21, one day after President Donald Trump was sworn in. , who is believed to be armed and in the area.
USCP noted that as Faber passed through the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) checkpoint, a magnetometer went off and officers conducted a secondary hand search.

While canvassing the area, the suspect's vehicle was stopped, searched, and he was arrested, according to USCP.
Authorities said they found a small 9mm handgun hidden in his waistband.

USCP said the officers who conducted the search have been suspended and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
