Capitol Police seeking congressional aide over alleged building break-in

Fox News is seeking a former aide to former US Senator Lori Chavez Deremar, the candidate for Labor Secretary for President Donald Trump, on alleged break-in on Tuesday in a Congressional office building.

The Capitol Police are looking for an unidentified former aide to an Oregon Republican.

The aide was working for Chavez Deremar when she worked at the house.

Arrested police after trying to bring a machete and three knives to the US Capitol a few hours before Trump arrived.

Authorities believe an aide broke into a closed door on a Cannon House office building around 4pm. Investigators pulled a video of the suspect.

The officer showed the image of a bearded man and asked Congressional aides if they had seen him wearing their hoodies when pulled out of the cannon garage.

Fox News Digital has contacted Capitol Police and Chavez-Deremer.

Chavez Delemer, the daughter of a member of the Teamsters, resigned from her seat in January after being appointed by Trump to lead the Department of Labor.

The first-term Republican lost his re-election bid to Democrat Janelle Bynum in November. Chavez Deremar is scheduled to testify before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (Help) on Wednesday.
