Car being towed swerves wildly on Texas highway with driver inside

In Houston, Texas, a driver was left stunned when the car being towed behind began spinning across the highway lanes on Monday.

The incident occurred on the North Loop while the driver, a 32-year-old named Donte Brown, was still behind the wheel of his blue sedan. His girlfriend was allegedly driving the white SUV, and she was seen laughing during the dangerous situation.

David Chairs, who filmed the chaos, commented, “It looked like a scene from Fast and Furious. It was very reckless and very dangerous.”

Additional video from a building overlooking the highway captured the risky environment where vehicles were maneuvering. Other drivers kept their distance as the two vehicles continued on the highway.

Authorities stated that Brown and his girlfriend opted to tow their vehicle themselves due to the expense of hiring a tow truck. They used chains, but this led to a broken axle on Brown’s car.

An eyewitness, Ken Collins, noted that Brown seemed frustrated and upset during the incident. He recalled, “It was crazy. I thought they were about to fight—he was yelling at her, hitting the hood of his car. She tried to talk to him, but he wouldn’t listen. He said, ‘You ruined my car, you messed up my car.'”

Reports indicate that Brown had an active warrant in Georgia, but authorities did not comment on the towing incident specifically.
