Rapper Cardi B has canceled her scheduled appearance at a concert in Atlanta, Georgia, after being taken to the hospital for an undisclosed medical emergency.
“I am very sad to share this news, but I will not be able to perform at ONE MusicFest due to a medical emergency in the hospital for the past few days,” the “WAP” rapper wrote in a statement. Wednesday on her Instagram account.
Cardi B did not provide further details about her medical emergency, but added, “I am heartbroken that I won't be able to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could have.”
“Baldi Gang, thank you for your understanding, I will get well soon and come back stronger. Don't worry. Love you,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper concluded in a short statement.
It remains unclear what type of medical emergency Cardi B is dealing with and how long she will be hospitalized.
Cardi B is set to headline ONE MusicFest in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, an event that will feature performances by Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Fantasia, Ari Lennox, Method Man and more. Ta.
ONE MusicFest organizer Reposted Cardi B released a statement on the music festival's Instagram account, telling the nation that she was “working hard to find a replacement.”
“Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, @iamcardib has announced that she will not be able to attend this year due to ongoing health issues. Let's all continue to pray for her recovery!” ONE MusicFest said.
“We are working hard to find a replacement at this time, with more to come soon,” the music festival added.
Notably, Cardi B's medical emergency revelation came after an unknown prankster called Child Protective Services (CPS) claiming her children were in danger on Instagram Live from her hospital bed. This was done just two days after the announcement.
“How could Child Protective Services come to my house? Not at my house, but in my gated mansion, at 11 p.m. while my children were sleeping, I received an anonymous call and my children I got an anonymous call saying I was being abused and beaten. Are you a fucking idiot?'' the rapper reportedly declared in a profanity-laced rant on Monday night. report By KTLA5.
“That's when the prank went too far,” Cardi B continued at the time. “These motherfuckers think shit is funny, but they don’t think it’s funny.”
“We are completely the only people of color in my neighborhood, and you motherfuckers show up at my house with the police and Child Protective Services, and you motherfuckers make anonymous phone calls involving my children. “Because they want to spend money,” she added. “I promise you, I'll sue CPS that comes to my house any time.”
It remains unclear whether Cardi B's status regarding her alleged prank call to CPS is related to her recent hospital visit.
