Rapper Cardi B expressed her support for Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett in an Instagram Story video shared on Thursday morning.
“Hey everyone, just a reminder that early voting is underway in Texas. We really need Jasmine Crockett to win,” she stated. “She’s running for the U.S. Senate, and if you want someone committed to fighting for your rights and your community, vote for my sister, Jasmine Crockett.”
“She’s going to fight hard. Like, really hard, to make sure your voices are heard. It’s super important—so, vote now!”
Later, Crockett echoed Cardi’s message on X, saying, “You all heard that! She’s on a sold-out tour, and I had to work to get in. There are only two days left for early voting, let’s make this happen! #JasmineForUS #TexasTough.”
Crockett is currently facing a primary challenge against Texas Representatives James Talarico and Ahmad R. Hassan.
In recent discussions, Cardi B has praised the cleanliness and the low levels of homelessness in Saudi Arabia, contrasting it with her views on conditions in parts of America.
Cardi has a history of supporting Democratic candidates, previously backing former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election and even attending one of her rallies. She has also championed progressive figures like Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, insisting they would make excellent candidates for the presidency.
However, despite her support for Joe Biden in 2020, Cardi has voiced significant disappointment with his administration, expressing feelings of betrayal over various issues. “It feels like no one is really paying attention,” she said. “But, I know solutions exist because there’s money out there being spent.”
