Carmen Electra is back in the spotlight with a return to Playboy.
The 54-year-old model first graced the magazine’s pages in May 1996, and now, three decades later, she’s making a comeback. In the Summer 2026 issue, available from July 28, Electra acts as a Playboy advisor, responding to readers’ inquiries on topics like love, confidence, and personal growth.
In some striking photographs taken by Max Montgomery, she poses in a fishnet catsuit, high heels, and a corset belt on a green sofa, surrounded by a plush carpet styled to match. Other images showcase her wearing a studded leather bra perched over a black net dress, complemented by a leather fisherman’s cap and a shimmering Playboy bunny necklace.
Notably, Electra made history as the first openly lesbian woman on a Playboy cover, sharing the issue with cover star Cara Delevingne, who appeared in a latex corset.
When asked how a recently divorced reader might navigate the dating scene, Electra offers straightforward advice. She believes, quite simply, that men shouldn’t change a thing after 40: “Nothing. Nothing. Stay young, stay fun, stay hot, right?”
She credits the late Prince, who discovered her in 1991 and gave her the name “Carmen Electra,” for inspiring her transformation. She noted that this name has now been legally adopted as part of her identity. Electra’s relationship with Playboy has been long-standing, with over 150 covers to her name. Recently, she reconnected with the brand through an event called the Von Dutch x Playboy campaign.
Beyond her Playboy ventures, Electra has also made a splash on OnlyFans and appeared in Scary Movie 6, currently in theaters. Additionally, she reunited with ’90s star Jenny McCarthy for a recent Skims swim campaign.
