Carol Burnett has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
Speaking to Extra at the premiere of Apple TV+’s new show Palm Royale, Burnett made it clear that he plans to work in the industry for as long as possible.
“I always approach this job as something new that I’ve never done before, so I’m just happy to be able to work and have all my parts,” she said. He told the same media. “I think I have the hips and the knees and the brain, so as long as I can keep that up and work, I want to work.”

The new miniseries follows a newcomer to Palm Beach, Florida, as he attempts to break into the city’s high society scene. The series also stars Kristen Wiig, Allison Janney, Kaia Gerber, and Ricky Martin.
“When I got the call about being in it, I didn’t even have to read the script,” Burnett told Extra. “I thought about who I was going to work with and said, ‘I’m in,’ and that was it. Then I read the script and that was the icing on the cake.”

Burnett became a television legend when she landed her own variety show, “The Carol Burnett Show,” on CBS in 1967, making her one of the few women in a male-dominated industry to have her own show. The show ran for over ten years and ended in 1978.

Burnett earned 10 Emmy nominations with three wins for the show, as well as numerous other awards and nominations for other projects. During the filming of her show, Burnett would send her special signal to her grandmother by tugging on her left ear as she bid her farewell to her audience, for which she became known. Became.
In 2019, Burnett became the inaugural recipient of the Carol Burnett Award for Lifetime Achievement in Television, joining Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear, and Ryan Murphy as recipients.
