Carrie Underwood celebrated Grand Ole Opry's 100th anniversary on Wednesday night.
Underwood took the stage at an event entitled Opry 100: Ab Live Celebration to honor Randy Travis, who welcomed him to become a member of Grand Oreople in 2008.
Underwood kicked off her tribute to Travis by sharing her stories about her childhood. She says her sister had Travis' cassette tapes and once she got it, she “never” gave it back to her.

Five years later, Travis suffered a stroke and he was barely able to sing.

On Wednesday night, Underwood played Travis's “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Forever, and Ever, Amen.”
At the end of “Forever, Amen,” Underwood walked to Travis in the crowd and gave him a microphone to sing the closing session. It moved the crowd to tears.
“Randy Travis, everyone.”
“Randy Travis, everyone,” Underwood said before embracing the legend of country music. The crowd quickly rose to their feet and gave Underwood and Travis a standing ovation.
Fans went to social media to consider moving performances.
“I'm not crying,” one user wrote With x, Previously known as Twitter, it contains clips of Underwood and Travis moments.

Grand Ole Opry shared a post about Travis leading Underwood to his family 17 years ago.
“I will never forget the moment Randy invited Carrie into his family,” the account, which includes a photo from 2008.
Underwood rose to fame after winning “American Idol” in 2005. Her debut album, “Some Hearts,” was released in the same year, and included a hit “before he cheats.”

Grand Ole Opry's official 100th anniversary will be in November, and the country music house celebrates it all year round.

Underwood took part in the country music ceremony in a gorgeous, one-shoulder black gown. The bottom of the dress was thin and there was a dramatic train.

The country music legend accessorized her look with paired statement earrings.
The country music ceremony also included performances by Jelly Roll, Reba McEntire, Post Malone, Trace Adkins, Lainey Wilson and Kelsea Ballerini.
