Democratic political strategist James Kerrville swings at Bill Maher on Saturday, blowing up comedians to fall into President Trump’s “personal charm” during his recent White House visit.
In the latest episode of his “Political War Room” podcast, Kerrville opposed the TV host and called him “the best naive guy.”
“I think Bill Maher had it. He went there and talked about how attractive and measured Trump is,” he said. “This was enjoying the man who was illegally deported by El Sabador that day and refused to bring him back, who loved to hurt people and who loved to inflict pain.”
“But you know, Bill is the latest in a series of people that can be gained by the personal attraction of truly bad people,” he added, making a pointed reference to former Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
The strategist admitted that he didn’t think the comedian was malicious in meeting the president, but Kerrville repeatedly said, “Bill Maher, you were there.”
A critic of the president’s voice, Maher traveled to the White House in late March to meet Trump in person with musician Kid Rock. Dinner was arranged by the “long of all summer” singer. He said he wanted to see the country’s “more politeness” among his political enemies.
“It wouldn’t have been any better,” Rockstar said in an interview with Fox News after the interaction.
Last week, Maher praised Trump for his hospitality and called him “graceful and measured.” He brought a list of insults the president had called him, asked for his signature and joked that he had promised that he was not a “Maga.”
“There was no pressure on the president’s achievements,” he added.
The comedian also praised Trump with humor.
“First, he laughs. I’ve never seen him laugh in public, but he does so, including himself, and it’s not a fake, I believe in me,” Maher said. “As a comedian for 40 years, I know fake laughter when I hear it.”
Kerrville again denounced the meeting on Saturday, turning his anger at the president.
“I defend Bill Maher to this extent. I think he’s a very naive guy,” the strategist said in the clip. Emphasised by MediaItesee that the comedian exalted his respect for the president.
He later replied, “The problem people have with buildings is that I have the same thing. You’re a kind of legitimacy and trust for this.”
Trump was initially skeptical and seemingly skeptical of meeting a host of “real-time with Bill Maher.” He previously claimed to be a “real-time host with Bill Maher.”
However, he later relented in a post about true social.
Tensions between the two TV stars began before the president ran and won his first presidential campaign. Trump He sued Maher in 2013 For $5 million after the comedian made a terrible joke about his mother and orangutan. The lawsuit was later dismissed.
