“Thank you for all the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of love has given my younger self a place to settle and help me feel safe. “I’ve become someone I never thought I’d become,” she continued. “I’m a better person today thanks to a lot of hard work, but I’m always recovering from the past.”
The “Me & U” singer then thanked everyone who “took the time to take this issue seriously.”
“My only request is that people open their hearts to believing victims for the first time. It takes a lot of courage to tell the truth from a situation where you were powerless,” she explained.
For others in similar situations, she “reached out to those who are still living in fear.”
And she offered this advice: “Reach out to your peers. Don’t cut yourself off. No one should have to carry this burden alone.”
Ventura and Combs were in an on-and-off relationship from 2007 to 2018.
