In February, a man who appeared to be homeless attacked a couple's Waymo car and tried to block its sensors, which would make the car immobilized and do his bidding. ABC San Francisco reported.

“If we were walking outside, we could have walked away. We ran away. If we were driving, we could definitely close the door. In this case, we literally had no control.” one of the victims told ABC.

Waymo then sent an email to the couple advising passengers to remain in their vehicles “when pedestrians attack the vehicle.”

Amina accepted Waymo's apology.

“The Waymo team was great and called me with in-car support. They called me to follow up and were very good at resolving this issue,” she said. I wrote it. “I may still take him, but I will be careful not to carry him alone.”
