After Hunter Biden was convicted of a felony, special counsel David Weiss made some eyebrow-raising comments on Tuesday.
After just three hours of deliberation, a jury made up of Hunter Biden’s peers found him guilty of three felony counts of lying on an ATF 4473 form about drug use when he purchased a handgun in October 2018.

In a brief statement after the verdict, Weiss denied trying to drum up sympathy for his son.
“This case is about the illegal choices that this defendant made in the midst of his drug addiction, his choice to lie on government paperwork when purchasing a gun, and his subsequent choice to possess that gun. Those choices, combined with the gun and the drugs, made his conduct dangerous,” Weiss explained. “No one is above the law in this country.”
