Cause of Death Revealed for Lucy-Bleu Knight, Slash’s Stepdaughter

Lucy Blue Knight, the stepdaughter of Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash, died on July 19 at the age of 25. Knight's cause of death was not revealed until more than a month later.

The Los Angeles Coroner's Office announced that Knight's cause of death was hydrogen sulfide poisoning and the manner of death was suicide. Confirmed To New York Post August of this year.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), inhaling high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide can lead to “very rapid loss of consciousness and death.” Website.

“Knight was found unresponsive at a private residence on July 19th during a police check on his welfare,” the coroner's office said. postHer death was announced at 3 p.m. the same day.

“An examination was conducted by the Deputy Medical Examiner on July 22,” the coroner's office added. “The cause of death was certified on Aug. 29.”

Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, announced his stepdaughter's death in an Instagram post on July 21.

“Lucy Blue Knight (December 6, 1988), beloved daughter of Megan Hodges and Mark Knight, step-daughter of Samantha Summers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlett Knight and sister-in-law of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 in Los Angeles, California,” he wrote.

“Lucy Blue was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, loving, and kind hearted person,” Slash added. “The family asks for privacy at this time and asks that you keep speculation on social media to a minimum while we grieve and process this tragic loss.”

Hours before announcing Knight's death, Slash canceled several shows on his SERPENT blues music tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the SERPENT tour has unfortunately been forced to cancel the following shows,” the Guns N' Roses guitarist wrote. “Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”

Slash captioned the post saying that he was on tour to promote his solo album. Orgy of the damned, They are scheduled to resume performances in Toronto on July 28, adding: “We love our fans and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

On July 23, Slash's son London Hudson also took to Instagram to pay tribute to his sister-in-law.

“This really sucks,” he wrote. “I will miss you forever, Lucy. I love you so much.”

Perla Ferrer, London's mother and Slash's ex-wife, wrote in the comments section of her son's post, “Words cannot express the grief of losing your baby. My heartfelt condolences to you all, especially Lucy.”

“Let's all learn from this experience and support each other and love each other,” she added. “At the end of the day, love and family is what really matters. I love you.”

Three days after Knight's death, a photo of her was bizarrely posted to her own Instagram account with a cryptic caption.

I'm sorry if I alienated you, manipulated or controlled you, told you to quit your day job because I felt safe knowing my parents were financially supporting you, or masked real problems with toxic positivity. I've missed out on countless opportunities and connections because of my overbearing ego, insecure heart, and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job as Lucy Blue. Peace.

Breitbart News reached out to Meta to ask about how Knight's personal Instagram post was published, and specifically whether it was scheduled days in advance. The company did not respond.

“My heart is [permanently] “I will never stop missing you and will continue to remember what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity and beauty you always were, and still are,” Slash wrote in a follow-up post on July 27.

“You were the brightest light in the lives of so many people who loved you,” Slash added. “I take comfort in knowing you are now resting in peace. I will love you forever.”
