Cavaliers honor Jason and Travis Kelce with tribute, bobblehead

Travis and Jason Kelce always show their love for their hometown, and on Tuesday Cleveland showed some love for its football stars.

During the Cavaliers’ 105-104 win over the Celtics, the Kelce brothers’ bobblehead night turned into an all-out love fest for the NFL’s most famous brothers, with the organization honoring Jason with a more than two-minute tribute video during the game. Praise. First quarter after retiring from the Eagles this week.

The heartwarming video featured footage of his brother’s life and football career to date, before the camera turned to Jason as the crowd cheered as they celebrated their hometown hero.

The brothers are both from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and have always kept their hometown close during their journey to stardom.

The name of their podcast, “New Heights,” is an homage to their hometown, and they felt the love from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse crowd.

They arrived at the venue for the night of giveaways in their honor just after 7 p.m., according to the Associated Press.

The bobblehead featured the brothers wearing Cavs jerseys and holding basketballs.

In a video posted by the Cavaliers to

“So he had to put me in his father’s shoes,” Kelce added. “Unfortunately, I ended up wearing Monarchs instead of New Balances.” [tonight]”

The Cavaliers also presented Jason with a framed No. 62 jersey during the first timeout of the game.

When Tavis Kelce picked up the framed jersey and held it over his head, the video montage moved Kelce to tears.

The emotional moment was shared on social media, as was the late game when the brothers returned to the video board drinking beers.

Wearing custom Cavaliers jerseys, the pair cheered for each other before downing adult beverages to the delight of the crowd.

Jason received some more goodies from the team before the night was over. That includes the bedazzled basketball and luchador mask he famously wore during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl postgame celebration in February.
