CBS airs two different answers to the same question in a “60 Minutes'' interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, replacing clips of the Democratic candidate aired on Sunday's “Face the Nation,'' interview The package aired on Monday's prime time special.
Sunday's “Face the Nation” airs footage of Harris serving a long “word salad” to promote the “60 Minutes” sit-in, and Bill Whitaker wonders why it looks like Israeli prime minister Ms. Harris was ridiculed by conservatives when she asked whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not listen to the US. However, the vice president's lengthy answer did not make the version aired on “60 Minutes” Monday night, which instead aired a shorter, more focused answer to the same question.
“Bill, as a result of the work that we did, many Israeli movements were born in the region. These movements, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region, “It was very much prompted by or a result of that,” Harris responded on “Face the Nation.”

It's unclear why CBS aired two different answers to the same question. However, CBS posted both clips on YouTube. CBS News did not respond to a request for comment.
The Trump campaign asked CBS to release the full interview, unedited, on Tuesday.
“On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala's much-anticipated sit-down interview with the worst word salad ever, which drew heavy criticism on social media. During the entire interview Monday night, the word salad was used to describe Kamala's remarks. It was deceptively edited to soften it. It's a stupid response,” said Caroline Levitt, the Trump campaign's national spokeswoman. “Why did 60 Minutes choose not to air Kamala's full text salad, and what else did they choose not to air? The American public has a right to the unedited full text of Kamala's sit-down interview. There is. We ask 60 Minutes and CBS to reveal it.' What do they and Kamala have to hide? ”
