CBS to end “The Talk” show later this year after 15 seasons

CBS will end its daytime talk show “The Talk” in December after airing it for more than 10 years.

“When ‘The Talk’ first aired 14 years ago, it broke new ground by bringing daytime talk back to CBS in a refreshing, award-winning format,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment and CBS. studio president David Stapp said in a joint statement. CBS Los Angeles (KCAL).

Actor Sara Gilbert, one of the show’s original hosts, said she created the show with the idea of ​​a group of female hosts discussing current events and hot topics, according to the Associated Press.

Gilbert, known for her role as Darlene on Roseanne, told Newswire in a 2011 interview that the basis for the show began with a group of her real-life “mom friends” who met to tell stories. Ta.

Host Sheryl Underwood is the only person from the early days of “The Talk” to remain on the show, according to the Associated Press.
