The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning against some brands of pork sold at Costco and Sam's Club as it expands its investigation into a salmonella outbreak across multiple states.
CDC is with updated post On Thursday, people were asked to throw away all Fratelli Beretta Antipasto Gran Beretta charcuterie meats purchased at Costco and Busseto Charcuterie Sampler packs purchased at Sam's Club at Walmart.
This follows the CDC's Jan. 5 warning against eating Busseto brand charcuterie samplers from a lot that was recalled in early January.
Costco announced Friday in a letter to members who purchased Fratelli Beretta meat that Fratelli Beretta has issued a voluntary recall due to possible Salcuterie contamination of Salcuterie meat.
In a letter to Costco members, the company said the recall includes all products with a best-before date before June 13.
The agency's investigators were working to determine whether other products may have been contaminated.
The CDC announced Thursday that 23 additional salmonella cases have been reported in eight more U.S. states since the last warning.
