CeCe, Cameron Boozer's mother, impresses at the 2026 NBA Draft.

Cameron Boozer, the third overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies, shared a heartfelt moment with his mother, CeCe, during the 2026 NBA Draft at Barclays Center.

CeCe, whose full name is Cindy, looked elegant in a black dress while mingling with family, which included her husband Carlos Boozer, a veteran NBA player, their twin sons Cameron and Kayden, and older brother Carmani.

In a conversation with ESPN’s Lisa Salters, CeCe reflected on Cameron’s basketball journey, saying, “I think it’s really more just faith than fear. We’re facing adversity together as a family, but now we can celebrate together and watch over Cameron. I couldn’t be prouder.”

During the ESPN coverage, Marika Andrews noted that Cameron mentioned how his mother drove him to every practice and tournament to help him find a trainer and advance his career.

The 18-year-old Duke standout emphasized the significance of family. “I honestly don’t even know how to describe it. … This is a moment for me, but it’s also our moment as a family,” he shared.

Cameron’s girlfriend, Iva Lauren Cao, a Miami University cheerleader, was also present, underscoring the supportive atmosphere around him.

The couple met during their high school years in Miami.

During his sole season at Duke, Boozer averaged an impressive 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists, boasting shooting percentages of 55.6 from the field and 39.1 from beyond the arc. His performance helped lead the top-seeded Blue Devils to the Elite Eight, where they fell 73-72 to the second-seeded UW in March.

Carlos Boozer, Cameron’s father, enjoyed a successful 13-year NBA career, being a two-time All-Star and part of the 2008 Olympic team that secured gold in Beijing.
