Lives with Cecile Richards, former head of the family planning system brain tumor But she says she’s still fighting for access to abortion.
In an interview with new york Magazine feature writer Irene Cameron Ms Richards opened up about her health and described what it’s like to live with an incurable brain tumor with a median survival rate of 15 months.
She told Cameron that doctors were encouraged by her response.
“I’m sleeping. I’m eating. I’m having fun. I’m working. It’s like Pinocchio. I’m a real boy and it feels really good,” says Richards. “Because six months ago, I didn’t know something like this was possible.”
She is still working on that challenge. Once, she baked five pies for 12 Thanksgivings. Now she’s relearning how to roll out pie dough. Ms. Richards plans to visit her grandson in Washington, D.C., that weekend, and soon she and Peterson will head to Louisiana to work on a documentation project. Adams says they’re talking about spring and summer.
The 66-year-old went on to acknowledge that she remains involved with Planned Parenthood and is “discussing strategy with leaders of the movement” and claims Republicans are “running and hiding on this issue.” challenged the members.

Richards is being treated for cancer with an IV infusion twice a week through a clinical trial. It’s completely manageable, but these things are unpredictable. As a result, he feels he can now focus on what he wants to do with his limited time. And I’m excited. I’ve been blessed. ”
