CeeDee Lamb addresses the Cowboys during the Micah Parsons contract issue.

Ceedee Lamb seems to be expressing his dissatisfaction with the ongoing contract situation involving Micah Parsons.

On Friday, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver shared a cryptic message on X.

“Dawg will never fail,” Lamb stated. “You just need to pay the guy what you owe. No additional curriculum is needed.”

Lamb, now in his sixth season with the Cowboys, secured a four-year, $136 million extension last August.

His comments came shortly after Parsons voiced his desire to leave the Cowboys due to unmet expectations in his contract negotiations.

“Unfortunately, I don’t want to be here anymore,” Parsons posted on social media. “Even without an agent, I don’t want to be stuck in negotiations. Don’t penalize me because of an injury, influenced by an organization or fans. It was a tough choice, but I’ve decided not to play for the Dallas Cowboys.”

This request for a trade followed a report from Athletics that suggested Parsons was contemplating “dramatic measures” regarding his contract.

Following several days of discussions with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the team initially believed they were close to an agreement.

However, complications arose when Parsons’ agent, David Murgueta, sought to renegotiate, leading to the Cowboys’ unwillingness to continue talks, as they expected Parsons to honor their existing agreement.

This situation unfolded about a month after Jones had called out four Pro Bowl players for missing a press conference due to injuries from the previous year.

Jones remarked, “[If] we sign him, not that we have him,” hinting at his past experience with high-salary contracts. He further noted, “The contract spans four or five years. Are you okay? If you get injured early in that time, there’s a lot at stake.”

Last season, Parsons participated in 13 games.
