CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys acknowledges he had a terrible weekend

CeeDee Lamb wishes his season opener had gone differently.

The 26-year-old receiver shared his struggles with drops during a press interaction on Thursday, revealing that it left him restless the night after the game.

“I really couldn’t take a break that weekend,” Lamb shared. “I’m dedicated to this game—I’m a competitor. I care deeply about this game, my team, and the people involved, so I give everything I have.”

“I just take responsibility for my part and try to deliver for everyone involved,” he added.

The All-Pro wideout recorded four drops, including two crucial misses in the fourth quarter, during a 24-20 defeat against the Eagles last Thursday.

Despite his performance of 110 receiving yards on 7 catches from 13 targets, those final two dropped passes hindered Dallas in their last drive.

“I’m definitely going to replay this game and remember every single drop—I can’t deny that,” Lamb remarked post-game.

“It’s just frustrating,” he continued. “Honestly, I can’t blame anyone else. I fully accept my role in this. I hope for better opportunities next time.”

If I don’t come back after this stronger, I’m not sure what will happen,” he noted.

In an unexpected moment, footage circulated online showing Lamb catching passes from a jug the day after the loss.

“That wasn’t meant to go viral, honestly. I didn’t think anyone was around,” he explained. “I was in there alone and unknowingly caught on camera.”

“But it’s back to the basics for me; I know what I need to do. It’s just Game 1, after all.”
