High-profile figures like Bill Cosby, Jennifer Hudson, Magic Johnson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jamie Foxx took a moment to honor the actor.

He added, “Every time I ran into Malcolm, we would have deep conversations about basketball, life, and business. He will truly be missed.”

Bill Cosby, who played Warner’s onscreen father, spoke to ABC News about their time together. He expressed appreciation for Warner’s dedication, saying, “He was always a great studier, and I enjoyed working with him very much. He was very professional.”

Record producer Questlove shared a touching tribute on Instagram, recalling Warner as an “amazing soul” who took the time to mentor him and discuss life experiences. He noted the actor’s significance in shaping some people’s lives, saying, “If you looked like me coming of age in the 80s, Malcolm as Theo was a GPS of sorts for navigating adulthood.”

Viola Davis also took to social media, sharing that “Theo was OUR son, OUR brother, OUR friend.” She reflected on the sincerity he displayed both on screen and in life. Davis ended her message by vowing to always remember him.

Marlee Matlin offered her thoughts, calling Warner “the nicest guy” and expressing how grateful she was to have shared space with him.
