Investigation into Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s Death Continues
The case surrounding the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez has taken a troubling turn. Her decomposed body was found in the trunk of singer D4vd’s Tesla, but Los Angeles police have yet to classify the event as a significant crime.
As of now, the cause of death for the teenager, whose body was discovered wrapped in plastic, remains undetermined. Authorities have, so far, only referenced previous statements. An earlier announcement suggested there isn’t much clarity on whether charges beyond the concealment of her body would be filed.
Celeste’s body was uncovered on September 8, shortly after her 15th birthday. Detention workers contacted law enforcement after detecting a strong odor from the black Tesla parked near the residence of D4vd’s manager. The vehicle was subsequently towed away from the location.
This expensive Tesla belongs to David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, who was overseas on tour at the time of the grim find.
Celeste’s mother mentioned that her daughter, having had a relationship with someone named “David,” ran away from their home in Lake Elsinore back in 2024. Interestingly, Celeste had a tattoo reminiscent of the singer’s, according to reports.
Currently, concealing a body is treated as a misdemeanor in California, which raises questions about potential consequences for anyone involved in hiding Celeste.
Following the tragedy, D4vd canceled his world tour. Numerous images and clips of the two together are circulating online, and fans had been speculating about a girlfriend named “Celeste” long before the body was discovered.
The investigation into the case has revealed that D4vd had an unreleased track titled “Celeste,” and images of him appeared to be taken a short distance from the girl’s residence. Authorities also inspected a Hollywood Hills mansion rented by D4vd’s manager where the Tesla had been idle for an extended period. Reports indicate tools typically associated with farming were found inside the property.
Security footage pointed to the vehicle being moved from its spot on July 29 to a location a few blocks away, remaining there until August 29 when a neighbor raised concerns.
The car was impounded on September 5, and Celeste’s body was located just days later. A private investigator suggested that Celeste had likely been in the trunk for some time prior to the car’s removal.
In response to the ongoing investigation and its implications, D4vd has enlisted high-profile attorney Blair Burke, who has past ties to controversial figures. As of now, both Burke and the Los Angeles Police Department have not commented on the situation.
