Celine Dion is aiming for the stage.
The prolific singer, who revealed in December 2022 that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), penned a poignant message on Instagram yesterday to commemorate International SPS Awareness Day. She also said she hopes she can perform again someday.
Dion posted a photo of herself with her three sons, René Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddie, 13.

“As many of you know, in the fall of 2022 I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS),” she wrote. “Trying to overcome this autoimmune disease has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible.”
He added, “Thank you so much to my children, my family, my team, and everyone for your love and support!”

The “All By Myself” singer concluded her message by saying, “I want to send encouragement and support to everyone around the world affected by SPS. You can do it! We can do it!”
Dion has made several public appearances in recent months, giving fans hope that he might be able to perform again. In February, he attended the Grammy Awards and presented Taylor Swift with the award for Album of the Year.

Early last year, Dion canceled the remaining 42 dates of his Courage World Tour. The last performance took place before the coronavirus pandemic began, and the tour was canceled in March 2020. Originally scheduled to resume last fall and then again this spring, in May she revealed her difficult decision to stop until she was able to sing again.
“I want you guys to know, I’m not giving up…and I can’t wait to see you again!” she said, optimistic about her eventual return to the spotlight.

When Dion announced to her SPS diagnosis In 2022, she said in an emotional pre-recorded Instagram video in English and French. “I’ve been dealing with my health issues for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about it,” she said. “All that I’ve been through. ” Dion detailed specific issues she was experiencing, including mobility issues.
“While we are still researching this rare condition, we now know that this is the cause of all the cramps I have ever had. Unfortunately, these cramps interfere with every aspect of my daily life. “It affects my body and sometimes causes difficulty walking and walking,” she said.
