A Florida law firm representing four of the 13 people injured when a tour boat and a vessel collided near Port Miami last month has released footage of the collision.
A 15-second clip provided by Mauthner Graham Injury Law shows a tourist from New York filming a video for Instagram on Feb. 11 and then accidentally recording the impact.
Laughter can be heard at the beginning of the video, and tourists look happy with their hair blowing in the wind as the tour boat, operated by Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures, zips across the water. You can hear music playing in the background.
The tourist then pans the camera to the front of the boat, showing more passengers, and when they look there, they quickly see another boat approaching. A scream was heard just before the crash, which knocked the phone over.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrifying incident. Vessel collisions like this should never happen, and we will hold both vessels accountable,” the law firm told Fox News Digital.
WPLG-TV reported that the video will be used as evidence to prove negligence in a pending civil lawsuit, noting that the other vessel involved “may have been operated by the U.S. Coast Guard as an illegal charter. “It is a 43-foot luxury ship,” he added. ”
