Chelsea started early. Twente won the ball at the back and Mayra Ramirez intercepted it and played it to Catalina Macario. Macario fed it back and with a wayward pass allowed Twente to retreat into the area. However, Macario's shot was blocked and he volleyed deftly past the keeper.

I hope Group A doesn't take away all of our goals. There's some real craziness going on at Wolfsburg as substitute Svejndis Jonsdottir scores a goal. Four (!) They defeated Roma 6-1, ensuring their team's place in the finals. Lyon defeated Galatasaray 6-0 in Istanbul, making it five wins from five games in this year's WCL.

Robert De Pauw resigned as Aston Villa's women's team manager on Wednesday amid concerns about the way he allegedly spoke to his players, including about their appearance. The Guardian newspaper reported.
It is understood that the club has considered the Dutch player's unprofessional comments after internal concerns were raised. De Pauw and Aston Villa were asked to respond.
