LAS VEGAS — The Jets’ front office makeover continued Wednesday.
Chad Alexander, who served as the team’s director of player personnel for the past five seasons, will be leaving to become the Chargers’ assistant general manager, sources said.
Alexander will work under new Chargers general manager Joe Hortis, whom he worked with in Baltimore.
Alexander spent 20 seasons with the Ravens before joining the Jets in 2019 when Joe Douglas was hired as the team’s general manager.
Alexander is the second high-profile departure from the Jets’ front office in recent weeks.
Assistant GM Rex Hogan and the team parted ways after the season.
Hogan and Alexander were two of Douglas’ closest aides.
It will be interesting to see how and when Douglas fills these roles.
Typically, everything that happens in scouting happens after the NFL Draft.

ESPN reported that Jets safeties coach Marquand Manuel is scheduled to interview Thursday to become the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator.
