Chad Lowe and his family are in mourning following the loss of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. They described her as a “smart, creative” teen who had a passion for dancing and referred to her as the “light of our lives.”
The family expressed their heartbreak in a statement, noting, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who, in addition to being talented, was cherished by her sisters and parents.” They added, “Her passing is devastating for our entire family, and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
In their statement, they also encouraged anyone facing mental health challenges to reach out for help by contacting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Lowe, at 58, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter, and they have two other daughters: Mabel, who is 17, and Nixie, aged 10. Interestingly, Chad Lowe is also known for being the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe.
Fiona celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025, an occasion her father marked on Instagram with a heartfelt tribute. He wrote, “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life, FiBear! Love you soooo much!!” It’s clear he took great joy in being part of her life.
Earlier in the same year, Chad shared moments with Fiona and her sisters when they returned to the ruins of their childhood home after it was affected by a fire in Pacific Palisades. He noted their resilience and strength during that tough time, stating, “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable.”
In discussing fatherhood, Lowe has remarked on how raising three daughters has given him a unique perspective, highlighting it as a privilege and mentioning that it has changed how he views the world.
Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
