Chad Lowe and Family Mourn Loss of Daughter Fiona

Actor Chad Lowe and his family are grieving the loss of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. They remember her as a “smart, creative” young girl who was passionate about dance and considered the “light of our lives.”

In a statement to Page Six, the family expressed their deep sorrow, saying, “We are profoundly heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.” They described her as a loving girl who was cherished by her siblings and parents, emphasizing, “She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by us.”

The family mentioned that her passing is a devastating experience, asking for prayers and privacy during this difficult time. They ended their statement by urging anyone experiencing mental health issues to reach out for help via the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Chad Lowe, who is 58, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter. The couple also has two more daughters, Mabel, who is 17, and Nixie, who is 10. It’s worth noting that Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, who is 62.

Fiona’s 13th birthday was celebrated in November 2025. Chad shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, celebrating the occasion with a picture of Fiona smiling in cowboy boots. He wrote, “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life, FiBear! Love you soooo much!!”

Earlier in 2025, Chad had posted images of Fiona and her sisters as they returned to the site of their childhood home, which had been destroyed in a fire. He noted in February, “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience.”

Lowe also mentioned that helping his daughters cope through such times was his “sole purpose,” adding, “Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”

Chad has previously discussed how raising three daughters has influenced his worldview, describing fatherhood as a privilege that has helped him see things “from their perspective.”

Fiona is survived by her parents and sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
