The Midwest Princess Unveils a Fresh Look
This week in New York City, Chapel Lawn revealed a striking new hairstyle, trading her signature vibrant red locks for flowing brunette curls, much to the surprise of concert-goers.
Attendees at the Forest Hills Stadium concert, part of her “Vision of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things” tour, expressed excitement, with comments like, “Good luck, baby!” The show was one of four sold-out performances planned.
At 27 years old, Roan showcased her new style while performing a medieval-themed set, rocking high-cut leather and latex outfits designed by her stylist, Genesis Webb. Known for her adventurous beauty looks, she’s frequently pushed boundaries, donning looks like prosthetic pig noses at award shows and vibrant green body paint at festivals.
This change, however, is significant—her fiery red curls had become emblematic of her identity.
In her latest music video for “The Subway,” viewers see a striking scene where her hair interacts with city life, getting caught in a taxi door, further emphasizing the transformation she’s undergone.
The shift to chestnut brown is quite noticeable and suggests a new chapter. Roan, who recently won Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards, has upcoming shows scheduled back in her home state of Missouri before heading to Pasadena, California.
If her hair transformation is any indication, fans might be in for even more surprises as the tour progresses.
