Charlamagne Tar Critiques CNN and Jake Tapper on Biden’s Health Coverage

Radio host Charlamagne Tar recently expressed his concerns regarding CNN and Jake Tapper’s role in obscuring the reality of former President Joe Biden’s health. In a new book titled “The Original Crime: President Biden’s Decline, Concealment, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” released on Tuesday, Tapper admitted to not adequately covering Biden’s health issues. However, his critics argue that this admission might not absolve him of responsibility.

Charlamagne shared his anticipation for the book, stating, “I’m really interested in what it says about Biden’s inner circle and how they’ve managed perceptions of his mental decline.” He even proposed a theory about the timing of Biden’s announcement regarding his stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis, suggesting it was strategically timed: “I think they released the diagnosis to preempt the discussion from Tapper’s book.”

While he looks forward to reading the book, Charlamagne indicated there’s still a sense of skepticism. “I’m curious to see if people like Jake Tapper will hold themselves accountable for the lack of reporting,” he mentioned. He seems to feel that the media has conspired, in some way, not to address the full truth about Biden.

Colleague Maugin Wood, a White House correspondent, supported Charlamagne’s perspective by highlighting the gravity of Biden’s cancer diagnosis, noting, “Well, stage 4, that’s serious,” underscoring that not enough had been said about it before now.

Adding to the conversation, former Biden Covid advisor Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel suggested that Biden likely had cancer for quite some time, possibly even at the start of his presidency. He stated, “It’s reasonable to think he had it back in 2021. There’s no real disagreement there.” This aligns with the recent concerns raised about Biden’s health.
