Charlamagne Responds to Caller Criticizing Him for His Negative Views on Biden for 2024

Charlamagne Tha God Responses to Caller’s Criticism of Biden

On “The Breakfast Club” this past Friday, radio host Charlamagne Tha God addressed a Democratic caller who criticized former President Joe Biden during the ongoing 2024 presidential campaign. The caller expressed frustration over media, including Charlamagne’s own critiques, suggesting they played a role in Biden’s challenges.

Charlamagne has been vocal about his discontent with Biden, famously stating on July 9, 2024, that the former president “was never a good candidate.” The caller mentioned that Biden faced relentless media scrutiny, especially while Trump was in office. She emphasized that the media’s focus, including coverage on the show, had shifted the narrative in a way that benefited Trump.

“The media elected Trump even while Biden was president,” she said. “There was too much emphasis on Trump, and not enough on Biden’s positives.” She expressed concerns about the internal divisions among Democrats, insisting that they shouldn’t be turning against one another.

In response, Charlamagne acknowledged the criticism but defended his remarks as being “very intentional,” clarifying that he did not identify as a Democrat. He asserted, “I’m not going to lie to people… and we can’t ignore the reality of what’s happening.” He challenged the notion of blaming the media entirely, questioning whether Biden himself bears any responsibility.

Charlamagne suggested that the caller read works by Jake Tapper and Kamala Harris to better understand the situation. He referenced Harris’s acknowledgment of recklessness in her decision to run again under current circumstances. Tapper’s exploration of Biden’s decline highlighted significant concerns, including claims from his cabinet about his reliability during emergencies.

Moreover, reports indicate that Biden oversaw the largest net immigration surge in U.S. history, with roughly 11 million border encounters recorded between February 2021 and December 2024, according to government sources. Inflation also reached a high of 9% in June 2022 under Biden’s administration, a stark contrast to the 1.4% rate when he took office in January 2021.
