Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Liberals for Suddenly Dropping ‘Fascist’ and ‘Threat to Democracy’ Rhetoric Against Trump

Charlamagne tha God, a radioman and podcaster, said that since Donald Trump's landslide victory on Tuesday, leftists have suddenly labeled him a “fascist” and a “threat to democracy.” I found it strange that he dropped all the attacking rhetoric.

On Friday's “Breakfast Club” show, the podcaster slammed liberals for their sudden turn to “optimism” in their post-election comments, calling Trump a “threat to democracy” from the start. He wondered if he had been dishonest.

“Let me just say this: I'm glad everyone is feeling optimistic, because the reality is we don't have a choice, because we're here now,” he said Friday. told. “Whether we like it or not, Donald J. Trump is going to be the 47th president of the United States, and we all want what's best for this country. is all we can do.”

Still, something made him curious.

“But don't you all think it's strange that now that he's won, people aren't calling him a threat to democracy?” he asked. “They don't call him a fascist…I think if you really believed that, someone's speech would talk about how America is doing and how things are about to get really bad.” It makes me wonder how much of it they really believed, or how much of it was just politics.

Still, Charlamagne said he did not regret using the same kind of high-pitched rhetoric.

The radioman himself was one of the loudest voices calling President Trump a “threat to democracy.” He took a liking to the charge in May, when he argued at a press conference that Joe Biden's re-election bid was hopeless.

“As you can see on the record, I completely agree with Robert De Niro. I too suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Charlamagne said. said Fox News at the time. “I think he's a threat to democracy.”

The high-pitched broadcaster also called Trump a “bigot” and accused all of his voters of being “white supremacists.”
But despite his accusations, the election results proved that Donald Trump improved his standing among nearly every category of minority voters.
