Radio host Charlamagne Tha God criticized President Biden for welcoming President-elect Trump to the White House for a transition meeting on Wednesday.
“I don't understand the White House visit at all. Sure, I'm glad it was a peaceful transition of power, but what happened to the 'threat to democracy' story?” What happened to the “fascist” story? '' Charlamagne said on Thursday's episode of “The Breakfast Club.''
“By the way, I know I said something like that about Trump as well, but they're not talking about me, they're talking about his political opponents, like President Biden. When they say , it carries much more weight than me. ”
He made similar remarks last Friday, questioning why the president had not declared Trump a threat after the disastrous election results for Democrats. Charlamagne previously met with Vice President Harris and received the host's support.
“Folks, don't you think it's strange that now that he's won, people aren't calling him a threat to democracy? They're not calling him a fascist,” Charlamagne said. Ta.
“If you really believe that, I think someone's speech will be about how America is doing well and how things are about to get really bad. I just wonder how much of it was just politics.”
In the weeks leading up to the election, former White House officials, including Biden, labeled Trump a “fascist” and criticized many of the statements made by Republican surrogates.
