Charles Barkley crushed the Democratic Party and the Harris campaign with a crushing electoral defeat. The NBA Hall of Famer also addressed how he would approach Donald Trump's second term as US president.
Berkeley began by congratulating President-elect Trump on his decisive victory in the 2024 election.
“If you win, you can say what you want to say. If you lose, just shut up.”
“I wish him the best, but we lost,” Barkley said of Trump on a recent show.steam room“Podcast.
“I don't think everyone who voted for Trump is a racist,” Barkley said. “I'm not a fan of his, but he's the president. I'm going to have to respect the office.”
“I wish President-elect Donald Trump the best of luck, because he won the race fair and square,” Barclay said. “I hope he understands that 71 million people voted for her and does what's best for the American people, plain and simple.”
Barclay then skewered Democrats for “not having a strategy.”
“But we lost,” Barkley admitted. “And I want to say this to all you Democrats out there: I'm an independent who voted Democratic. Please do this, you motherfuckers, shut up! When we win, we get to say what we want. .If you lose, just shut up.”
Barkley then listed the excuses Democrats have used to try to explain why Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election to Trump. He cited a Democratic talking point that President Joe Biden did not immediately withdraw from the race.
“We lost because we didn't have a game plan,” Barkley said. “We still haven't solved the immigration problem. There are no valid answers and we haven't addressed inflation at all. What was the point of bringing out stupid stars to get votes? Hey, I love Beyoncé. That's not how I vote.'' Cardi B, I like Cardi B, but that's not how I vote. ”
Barkley said Kamara “should have had a better strategy going forward instead of bringing in a celebrity” because “people want solutions.”
“I voted for Kamala, but like I said, we didn't win,” Barkley admitted in a recent podcast rant.
“It's all our fault for not having a strategy,” Barkley said. “We're not having concerts, we're not having rallies. People want solutions. They want money in their pockets. They want secure borders.”
“You guys lost because you guys were stupid. Come up with a solution,” the 11-time NBA All-Star said.
Mr. Barclay blamed the Democratic city for rampant crime, including unchecked shoplifting that forced stores to lock up their merchandise.
The “NBA on TNT” host said Biden is “fantastic” and he has nothing but “admiration and respect” for him.
Barkley blasted those who criticized Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl for voting for Trump.
“The next time any of you idiots, idiots, idiots send me an article about Bruce Pearl supporting Trump, I'm going to punch you in the face,” Barclay declared. “Bruce Pearl can vote for whoever he wants. Bruce Pearl had two jobs: winning basketball games and graduating players. That's all I care about. is.”
“That guy can support whoever he wants,” the former Auburn All-American basketball player continued. “These people are telling me, 'If you don't vote for Kamala, you're not black.' Shut up, people can vote for whoever they want.”
Blaze News reported in March that Barkley had very different opinions about black people supporting Trump, saying, “If I see a black person walking around with a Trump mug, , I'm going to punch him in the face.''
Also in March, Mr. Berkeley scolded Democrats for “only thinking about black people every four years.”
Mr. Barkley's podcast co-host Ernie Johnson also said he voted for Ms. Harris.
Johnson said he wasn't surprised that Trump won, but that some Democrats are saying, “If you voted for Donald Trump, we want nothing to do with you.” He said he was concerned.
“That's the part we have to get through,” Johnson added. “The fact that you voted one way and I voted another way means we can never see eye to eye and want nothing to do with each other, because as it is, Because we're not making any progress.”
