Charles Barkley never shuts up about what he thinks about San Francisco and its people.
The NBA legend and TNT Basketball host and analyst won’t be planning a vacation to the city anytime soon.
Barkley spoke on TNT’s alternate broadcast Sunday night during the NBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indiana, with controversial Warriors forward Draymond Green and former Pacers star and current He was speaking with Reggie Miller, who is also an NBA analyst.
During the broadcast, Green said, “Hey Reggie, we love you, no more All-Stars.” [game] In Indiana. Let this be the last time, my friend. ”
That’s when Barkley called out and followed Green to the city he was playing in.
“Hi, Reggie,” Barclay said. “If you had the chance to be out in the cold in San Francisco or to be around a bunch of homeless scammers, which would you choose?”
“You can’t even walk around there,” Barclay added.
Next year’s All-Star Game will be held at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
To which Green replies, “Yes, you are.” can “Walk around,” Barclay replied, “Yes, wear a bulletproof vest.”
This is, of course, not the first time Mr. Berkeley has criticized San Francisco.
In 2022, during a rare rain delay during Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals between the Warriors and Mavericks, the roof of the American Airlines Center in Dallas began leaking.
Berkeley believed that it needed to rain in San Francisco, but he used the opportunity to lament that it never rained in San Francisco.
“The unfortunate thing about this rain is that it’s not raining to clean those dirty streets that came to San Francisco,” Barclay said at the time. “San Francisco, it’s a great city, but we need to get all that filth and homeless off the streets.”
The Eastern Conference All-Stars defeated the Western Conference 211-186, and Damian Lillard was named the game’s MVP.
