Following news of Hunter Biden's pardon, whose prior drug habit is well-documented, longtime Fox Business host Charles Payne opened up on air about his brother's struggle with crack addiction, saying: He called it a “disaster” that devastated his family.
Earlier this week, Payne appeared on “America's Newsroom” with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino to discuss President Joe Biden's promise not to pardon his son Hunter for a year. Despite this, he spoke about the widespread amnesty granted. Payne argued that Hunter benefits from a “double standard” that other Americans who have loved ones with drug problems are not afforded.
“Stop talking about a fatherly love for drug addicts,” Payne said, referring to President Biden, “because we all have that familial love for drug addicts in our families. “No one is receiving treatment like this.”
“It's a disaster. He can't shake it.”
It turns out that Payne and his family are no exception. Mr. Payne, whose voice sometimes cracked with emotion, described Mr. Payne as the “smartest” member of his family, a “great man in his heart” who “could have been a great American.” My older brother, who I call my father, told me how he was destroyed by crack.
Mr. Payne, who declined to give his name, claimed that his brother was one of America's first crack addicts and is currently in prison, possibly serving a sentence related to his addiction. Payne acknowledged that it's hard to lock up a loved one, but “I don't want him to come out of prison.”
“I know he's been caught,” Payne explained, but at least “I know he's safe.”
Mr. Payne pointed out that his brother was living a safe and warm life, a far cry from when he lived on the streets, and said that his brother suddenly showed up at his aunt's house without shoes “in the middle of winter.” I talked about the time when
Payne added that his brother is living “like a king” in prison because Payne contributes $100 to his brother's commissary account every week. Nobody else there “won't get a dime,” Payne said.
“That's how bad it is over there.”
Payne's younger brother is scheduled to be released from prison on Friday, and Payne is already preparing for the possibility that his brother will soon fall back into crack addiction.
“It's a disaster. He can't shake it off.”
Payne also slammed “elitism” and “entitlement run amok” within the Democratic Party, as evidenced by Hunter's pardon. “If this were Donald Trump and his family, there would be people screaming in the streets,” he said.

After the clip went viral on social media, Payne expressed gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy and encouragement she received in response.
“I would like to thank everyone for such beautiful and heartfelt replies and messages. I believe in the power of prayer. Thank you so much,” he said. said.
