Charlie Kirk 'Was Engaging in What the Authorities Dislike Most... Urging Them to Change Their Ways'

Tucker Carlson’s Speech at Charlie Kirk’s Ceremony

Tucker Carlson received enthusiastic applause after delivering a speech centered on faith at Charlie Kirk’s re-service event in Arizona on Sunday. He urged the audience to embrace the message of faith from the founder of Turning Point USA, who was assassinated.

During the gathering at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, attended by tens of thousands, the focus turned to Kirk’s “Christian Evangelist” beliefs. Carlson remarked on the size and energy of the crowd, saying, “This is the most incredible thing I think I’ve ever seen. Whatever happens next in America – I hope God is in this direction because he is here, and you can feel it. And not only because Charlie loved this, but because he loved so many people, but because he was ultimately a Christian evangelist.”

He went on to discuss the conspiracies against Jesus as depicted in the Bible, recalling how, about 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem, those in power sought to silence him. “What do you do about this guy telling the truth about us? We have to let him stop talking,” he imagined them saying, leading to disastrous consequences. “It doesn’t work that way. Everything is flipped,” he added, emphasizing the unexpected outcomes of their actions.

Carlson described Charlie Kirk as a “great” man, acknowledging his political interests while highlighting his mission to lead others to Jesus as the “one real solution.” He reflected on Kirk’s message, noting, “Blessed are those who mourn them to be comforted. That’s true, and you can feel it here. He was a decent guy, truly engaging in conversations that linger. The essence of Charlie’s message was about bringing the gospel to the nation.”

Despite Kirk’s focus on political coalitions, Carlson pointed out that he understood politics wasn’t the ultimate solution. “Christianity asks you to change,” he said, discussing the importance of repentance in the gospel’s message, which calls for a transformation of the heart as a pathway to progress.

He emphasized that his remarks weren’t a call for political passivity, affirming his support for action, including backing figures like Donald Trump. “What Charlie really said is that change begins – the only change you can make when you repent of your sin,” he stated.

In his reflections on their conversations, Carlson noted that Kirk had the rare ability to refrain from hate. “Charlie was always fearless and truly fearless in his final moments… He would interpret negativity as a sign of someone in need of help,” Carlson recounted.

He wrapped up his speech with a reminder of the enduring nature of Christian faith, asserting that “when you try to extinguish the light, it burns brighter and brighter each time.” Carlson urged the audience to remember their shared experience and the presence of the Holy Spirit in that moment.
