Erica Kirk to Make First Appearance Following Husband’s Death
Erica Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has stepped into the public eye just two days after he was tragically shot while addressing an audience at Utah Valley University.
In a poignant moment, she stood beside her husband’s vacant studio chair, holding onto his cross necklace while she spoke. Her podium bore the message, “Charlie may be welcomed by the merciful arms of our beloved Savior, Jesus.”
Thousands gathered to hear from Erica, who not only played the role of Charlie’s partner but is also a mother to their two young children and an advocate in her own right.
She began by expressing gratitude to first responders and family supporters, particularly calling out President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance: “President, my husband admired you,” she emphasized.
From that platform, Erica shared her husband’s private convictions regarding political priorities. “Charlie always mentioned that if he were to run for office, reviving American families would be his foremost goal,” she recalled.
She displayed one of the Bibles that held special meaning for Charlie. “One of his favorite verses was Ephesians 5:25,” she noted.
According to Erica, the sentiments expressed in the verse encapsulate not only her husband’s message but also reflect his life and sacrifice. “He dedicated his life for me, for our nation, and for our children. He exemplified the ultimate covenant love,” she stated.
Despite her grief, Erica underscored her faith: “Our world is filled with evil, but our God is very good. Simply put, He is very good.”
Refusing to walk away from her husband’s legacy, she declared, “The cries of this widow resonate worldwide, like a battle cry. For those listening across America tonight, the movement my husband initiated will not fade. I will not allow that to happen. It will only grow stronger.”
She confirmed that Turning Point USA’s campus tours and the American Fest will continue to expand. “We will be hosting more tours in the coming years,” she shared. “And the radio and podcast programs that he held so dear will persist.”
Erica confided that since Charlie’s death, she hasn’t slept much, yet remains focused on her role as a mother. “When I returned home last night, my daughter, Gigi, cuddled my arm and asked, ‘Where is Daddy?’ I told her, ‘He’s working with Jesus on your blueberry budget.'”
She vowed, “I will usher in a turning point, creating something monumental.”
“God bless you all, and God bless America,” she concluded.
Erica, formerly known as Erica Franzbeh, married Charlie in May 2021. Charlie Kirk, at just 31 years old, was the co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA.
