Turning Point USA’s Future After Shooting Incident
Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), appeared on the “Charlie Kirk Show” on Friday, discussing plans for the show’s future. She mentioned that there would be a rotating host as the organization follows a new “blueprint.”
This comes after a tragic event on September 10th, when TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was shot during a “Proof Me Wrong” event while engaging with attendees. Erika, who took over the role after her husband’s passing, described how some of the co-hosts and staff on the radio show are integral to keeping his spirit alive. “Collectively, each of you is part of his brain,” she shared, reflecting on the various contributors and their unique traits. “My husband’s voice lives on. The show continues.”
During an emotional address at a recent service honoring Charlie, Erica conveyed her forgiveness toward her husband’s suspected attacker. She revealed plans to continue producing content, stating that her husband had amassed a substantial library of material that could sustain the show for years. “We have decades worth of my husband’s voice and unused material from speeches that no one has heard yet,” she explained, emphasizing how intentional Charlie had been in ensuring there was always enough content available.
In addition, Erika mentioned that there are future initiatives targeting conservative students that have emerged since Charlie’s assassination. “Just like Turning Point USA, there are continued plans. We are not going anywhere,” she assured. “There’s a blueprint.”
