Charlie Wanted Everyone to Understand 'Jesus Is Truth'

Charlie Kirk’s Faith and Political Views

Dr. Frank Turek, who considers himself a spiritual mentor to Charlie Kirk, shared insights on how Kirk’s Christian beliefs shaped his political views. He emphasized that Kirk’s understanding stemmed from his deep conviction that “Jesus is true.”

Reflecting on the tragic events surrounding Kirk’s shocking murder, Turek remarked, “I’ve seen through various events that God can bring good out of evil. This has sparked interest in Jesus among many, leading people to explore Christianity or deepen their faith.” He noted that Kirk’s heart always aligned with connecting people to Jesus, stating, “If Charlie were here, and we asked him, ‘Would you give your life?’ without hesitation, he’d affirm that. Of course, he would miss his family, but his life was dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus.” Kirk sought to convey the essence of God’s sacrifice and forgiveness.

Turek acknowledged Kirk’s active involvement in politics, explaining that it was driven by his Christian principles. “Our calling is to love our neighbors,” he said, highlighting Kirk’s mission.

When discussing Kirk’s ongoing campus tours, Turek mentioned that many of the questions they address focus on challenging spiritual topics, particularly the existence of evil. “We’ve structured the tour around the question, ‘If God exists, why is there evil?’ This resonates deeply with Charlie’s legacy. I find that many people are seeking to understand these issues.” He observed that for some, accepting Christianity might mean confronting uncomfortable truths about their morals, and not everyone is ready for that. Turek expressed, “In the end, rejecting the truth leads to problems.” He reinforced the idea that to find fulfillment, one must confront the truth, which he identifies as Jesus. “Charlie’s goal was for everyone to understand this truth.”

Turek stressed that Kirk’s message particularly aimed at young people was about embracing life, building families, and striving for meaningful achievements. “He wanted them to realize that true fulfillment comes through knowing Jesus—getting married, raising a family, and leaving a lasting impact on the world,” he added.

Turek concluded with a call for personal accountability, urging, “Put down the video games, step away from living in your parents’ basement, and take charge of your own life. And remember to respect women as individuals, not objects.”
