The feud between the cast of “Charmed” continues even decades after the show premiered.
Troubles behind the scenes of the hit show starring actresses Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs have overshadowed the success of the series, with issues between Doherty and Milano coming to the fore in recent months. .
As a result, Combs and Rose McGowan, who later joined the show, took sides.
Doherty and Combs revisited the drama on Doherty’s podcast in December. Doherty said her story of quitting “Charmed” is not her own. Combs said producers told her that Milano had threatened to sue the show if Doherty was not fired.

”[The producer] “We’re backed into a corner,” Combs said. “He said, ‘You know, we’re basically on either side.’ We were told, ‘It’s either her or me,’ and Alyssa was accused of her hostile work environment. He threatened to sue us.”
Last week, Milano gave his opinion when asked about working with McGowan at MegaCon Orlando. McGowan joined the cast after Doherty’s character was killed off in season 3, and has said in the past that Milano made it difficult on set.

“So I’m going to address this issue because I think you all deserve it if you can live with some honesty and integrity. But I want to be thoughtful.” Milano said in a statement. videos shared online. “I don’t want to add to other people’s pain because I don’t think that’s cool either. So I’ll just say I’m sad.
“It’s saddest that a program that meant so much to so many people could be tarnished by toxic material that continues to persist nearly a quarter of a century later,” she said. “When I think back to that time, it was a big deal for me. … And I’ve worked very hard in my life for the last 25 years to heal all of my trauma, and it’s just… It’s not trauma, it’s just how I felt during filming.

“I understand that hurt people hurt people,” she added. “(I think) I was very candid and took responsibility and apologized for what role I played in this situation. And I was very candid about that. So how else? I don’t know how to fix that.”

“Holly and I, we weren’t trying to be mean on the podcast. …In fact, we went over it and edited out anything that we thought would cause more drama. We just told the truth because the truth actually matters. But that’s what we wanted to do, to save you, the fans, from heartbreak in any way humanly possible,” she said, getting emotional. Video recorded by a fan.
“The truth that I know we have told has no history of revisionism.…What others might call trauma is actual trauma to me, and I have lived with it for a very long time. And it was only through my battle with cancer that I overcame it. I decided to work through this trauma and be open and honest about it. You can actually heal the livelihoods, the livelihoods that were taken away from families because somebody wanted to be number one on the call sheet.”

After a few days, Combs decided to clear the air and give the world his perspective.
“In the spirit of no longer being the meek or middle child, I feel the need to defend myself against the many attacks that have followed since Alyssa went on stage and called Shanann and I liars after simply being asked a question. What was it like working with Rose?” Combs wrote on Instagram.
“Suffice it to say I’m a little shocked and a little disappointed, especially that the next day she simultaneously posted text messages against me. Sadly, it’s no longer surprising. That’s not the point.
“First of all, this is not historical revisionism. This is just history that she didn’t want people to know. And it’s history that Shanann wasn’t ready to talk about until a month ago. Thank you. Especially because we’re all at an age where people understand.”They write books, they write their memories, they tell the stories of their lives. No one wants to comfort others.” There’s no need to lie about your life. I’ve long wanted girls to get along for something bigger than all of us combined, but that just wasn’t in the cards. I obviously didn’t.

“I heard Alissa say she didn’t have the authority to fire people, which is ironic because it was really all about power,” Combs explained. “There was a lawsuit going on, and it’s clear now. Alyssa and Alyssa were the only ones who had the power to stop the lawsuit. When the producers said, ‘Okay, let’s release Shanann,’ Alyssa also said, ‘No.’ I had the power to say, “I don’t want that to happen.”
“But she didn’t. She has the power to say no, just like Shanann said, ‘No, I don’t want you to replace Alyssa,’ when presented with the same choice.” Yes, because she was a child actress who just supported her family.” Alyssa similarly understood the importance and responsibility. ”
Combs added the hashtag “#sorrynotsorry,” the title of Milano’s 2021 memoir.
McGowan commented on the post and seemed to agree with Doherty’s explanation.
“I love what this show has meant to people around the world,” McGowan said. “Sometimes you have to make a mess to clear things up. To me, this is much bigger than a TV show. You assassinate a person behind the scenes because of narcissistic jealousy.” and targeted reputational smearing continues for years.”
“I wish nothing had turned out the way it did. I’m proud of everyone involved in the magic we weave and the magic created around the world. The truth is unpleasant, but magic never dies. It is not.”
