Raiken Snelling, a cheerleader at the University of Kentucky, was reportedly in a relationship with a former college basketball player, Conner Jordan, according to a heartfelt photo he shared online. The 21-year-old cheerleader had posted multiple times about Jordan on her social media before her recent arrest, although it’s unclear if Jordan is the father of her newborn.
In one of her TikTok videos from June, Jordan, who has been recognized by Snelling’s followers, was seen holding hands with cheerleaders on the field. Another clip captured a sweet moment where he kissed Snelling’s cheek as they danced together.
It remains uncertain when their relationship began.
Jordan, who previously played basketball at King and Taskulm University in Tennessee, seems to have deleted his social media accounts following Snelling’s arrest. This came just months after Snelling had shared a post listing her aspirations, which included wanting to be a mother.
In her last TikTok, uploaded on June 25, Snelling included an emoji of a mother holding a baby in a list of her goals, alongside images of a wedding ring, a house, and cash.
On Wednesday, Snelling appeared in court for the first time facing charges that include abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the birth of her infant. She was arrested on August 31 after officers received reports of an unresponsive baby in her home.
An autopsy has been conducted, but the cause of the baby’s death remains inconclusive. Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn acknowledged the community’s concerns, promising a thorough investigation to uncover all relevant details.
Snelling has pleaded not guilty to the charges she faces.
