“It’s easy to imagine that the British ambassadorial role would be a coveted one for Chelsea, even though she is still junior, and London is often run by big donors and fundraisers,” a veteran British embassy official now based in London told The Post.

A Clinton source said Chelsy’s British dreams were “a pipe dream, of course.”

A second person with knowledge of the matter said the 44-year-old would be open to the idea of becoming a goodwill ambassador for another country, adding: “We’ve heard for a long time that Chelsea wants to be a goodwill ambassador.”

“She’s 44 and has had this dream for a long time. It’s important to her to make a mark on herself,” a person familiar with the matter said. “She has always wanted to spend more time abroad, like Caroline Kennedy, who was ambassador to Japan under Obama and is now ambassador to Australia.”

Longtime friends of Bill and Hillary Clinton strongly denied that the couple endorsed Harris for any reason other than to defeat Donald Trump, with Chelsea’s rep adding: “There is no truth here. Chelsea is proud to support VP Harris and will do everything in her power to help her win the election in November.”
