Chelsea Handler Criticizes Cheryl Hines and RFK Jr. for ‘Toxic’ Home Sale

Discontent in Hollywood: RFK Jr. and Chelsea Handler Clash

It’s troubling how opinions can create such divisiveness. Disagreeing with someone doesn’t make them evil; at least, that’s what I thought. Yet, the situation surrounding Robert F. Kennedy Jr. seems to illustrate a larger conflict. It feels, perhaps, like a betrayal. Until he associated himself with the MAGA movement, RFK Jr. was part of that Hollywood elite, respected alongside his actress wife, Cheryl Hines.

They starred together in Curb Your Enthusiasm, a show many people enjoyed. But now, having diverged from the conventional path, they’ve faced an overwhelming backlash. Their supposed ‘sin’? RFK Jr. is leveraging his platform—turning 70—to address issues he has been passionate about for years. It’s odd, isn’t it, to imagine a friendship dissolving because of differing political beliefs?

It raises the question: Shouldn’t we be more accepting of each other’s views? Why the rigid demand for loyalty? It’s baffling, really, and seems to stem from a certain mindset, particularly among some Democrats.

Then there’s Chelsea Handler. Former comedian, now older, and seemingly oblivious to her own contradictions. She recently shared her grievances about the house she bought from RFK Jr.—which, by her account, was a total disaster. She described it, without holding back, as “the most toxic environment” one could imagine. I mean, really? How does someone not notice that kind of thing before purchase?

“I can’t live here for at least two years.” Her words echoed with disbelief, as if she was completely blindsided. But shouldn’t there be some responsibility on her part, too? It makes you think—what were the inspectors doing? If it was such a mess, why hadn’t anyone caught this earlier?

Handler mentioned a note from Hines, suggesting help, but it clearly wasn’t what she wanted to hear—“how about fixing the foundation?” That feels a bit petty, doesn’t it?

The Brentwood property wasn’t just any house; it had a sizable footprint, yet the deal was shrouded in a blind trust, complicating things even further. Hines later questioned the timing and sincerity of Handler’s complaints. It feels like there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

Handler’s history hasn’t always been stellar. If RFK Jr. and Hines had a truly toxic situation to sell, wouldn’t they have faced a lawsuit by now? The claims seem exaggerated. Former homeowners have been taken to court over much less. It’s perplexing that Handler would act like she was completely in the dark about the conditions of her new home.

Sure, she has the platform to voice complaints, perhaps even because she targets the “right people.” Yet, despite the implausibility of her claims, she walks away, seemingly unscathed. Whether that’s fair is up for debate.
