Elsewhere on WSL today Manchester City beat Leicester 2-0, moving them level on points with Chelsea. Meanwhile, Arsenal were unable to maintain their form after suffering a shock 2-1 defeat to West Ham.
Lehane Skinner’s side leapfrogged Everton and Brighton to bottom of the table after their win over Arsenal. Brighton lost 2-0 to Manchester United, dropping them further into the relegation battle. Bristol drew 2-2 with Aston Villa on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to move them out of the danger zone.
Liverpool and Tottenham then shared the points in a mid-table battle, with the final score being 1-1.
Ramirez makes full debut
Maira Ramirez will make his first start for Chelsea tonight. The striker joined Emma Hayes’ side in a UK-record transfer last month after impressing with Levante in Liga F.
She will join the Chelsea XI as a replacement for Mia Fishel.
