Cher ignored her family drama while attending a pre-Grammy Awards party with boyfriend Alexander “A.E.” Edwards.
The “Believe” singer, 77, and Ms. Edwards, 38, arrived together at the Warner Music Group party at Citizen News Hollywood on Thursday night, where her beau appeared chivalrous. He was seen opening the door of his SUV.
Cher wore faded black jeans with rhinestones on the legs, teamed with a velvet bolero jacket and scoop neck top.
Edwards complemented her look with similar faded jeans and a black overcoat.
The couple’s night out on the town comes after the “If I Could Turn Back Time” star lost his bid to become guardian of his son Elijah Blue Allman.
In her legal complaint, Cher said Allman, 47, needed the conservatorship because of payments from a trust she received after the death of her father, the late musician Gregg Allman. He claimed that he believed the drugs would be used to fuel drug abuse.
The judge felt an emergency conservatorship was not necessary, but will consider a larger, longer-term conservatorship at a hearing in March.
Elijah, who attended the meeting in person, admitted to having mental health and substance abuse issues in the past, but insisted he was seeking treatment and attended meetings regularly.

“We are thrilled that the court found that he does not need a temporary conservatorship,” Elijah’s lawyer said as he stood alongside Elijah outside the courthouse.
“He has a lot of support and is doing great.”
Elijah’s recently reconciled wife also sides with him, claiming that Cher is unfit to be her husband’s guardian.
“To my knowledge, the complainant never knew the security code for his home, never drove a car, never prepared or dressed himself, and did not admit that he was ‘manic-depressive.’ admitted to me,” Mariangela King claimed. In court documents.
She concluded her motion by saying that although her husband does not need a guardian, Cher should not be the guardian if the court rules otherwise.
