Cher Files for Conservatorship of Son Elijah Blue Allman Amid Ongoing Struggles

In recent legal documents, Cher has sought temporary conservatorship for her son, Elijah Blue Allman. She claims his situation has worsened significantly since a preliminary application was made in 2023.

Elijah, known for being Cher’s son, reportedly says he has “no concept of money” and spends what he has on drugs, luxury hotels, and limousine rides. Currently, he’s being held in a mental health facility in New Hampshire facing multiple criminal charges stemming from incidents earlier this year.

This latest application marks the second time in three years that Cher has approached the courts for similar measures.

Recent Arrests

Recently, Allman faced two arrests in New Hampshire within a week on charges including robbery and assault. Cher’s documents reflect her concerns over his ability to manage his finances due to ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues. She noted that after receiving funds from a trust, he typically checks into expensive hotels, where he spends his money on drugs until he either runs out or ends up in the hospital.

Despite past attempts to avoid conservatorship by indicating he was aware of his financial irresponsibility and had hired a business manager, Cher’s worries persist. She emphasized that Elijah’s actions don’t suggest real change, pointing out that his lifestyle remains beyond his means.

Financial Strain

The documents also highlight that his estranged wife, Mariangela King, is not a practical source of support and seems to engage only when it benefits her financially. Cher claims the only person providing help is a long-time friend, while pointing out that Allman has caused financial harm to others, including significant damages to properties he rented over the summer.

Furthermore, the records detail a recent Airbnb incident where damages exceeded $50,000, which led to a lawsuit filed by a friend against the rental platform. Allman has also reportedly been banned from multiple hotels due to disruptive behavior.

In response to the situation, Jason Rubin has petitioned to take on the role of Allman’s guardian, presenting himself as a neutral trustee without previous connections to the family.

In March, Elijah Blue Allman faced several charges, including theft and criminal mischief, which stemmed from a home invasion incident. Earlier, in February, he was also arrested on multiple misdemeanor counts at a private school in New Hampshire.
